Browser extension

Query Monitor is available as a browser dev tools extension. This is an alternative to using the in-page panel that gets output into the admin toolbar.

Using the browser extension has some advantages over the in-page panel:

• The Query Monitor panel doesn't take up space within the page you are inspecting
• The panel can be resized, undocked, and moved around like any other developer tools panel

Installation

The browser extension is available for Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. A Firefox version is in the works.

Install from the Chrome Web Store

The Query Monitor plugin also needs to be installed and active on the WordPress site you want to inspect.

Usage

Open your browser's developer tools on any page of your site and switch to the Query Monitor panel.

The panel will probably appear in the right-most position by default:

Privacy

The browser extension only reads Query Monitor data from pages you inspect. It does not read any other data, all data remains in your browser, and no data is sent to any third party. See the privacy statement for more information.
